If you have a BIG spend coming up - there is no better way to soften the blow then will a card that will earn you a huge chunk of points. Home renovation? Taxes? Buying tickets to the 2028 Olympics 🤣? Car down payment? Annual home insurance payment? College tuition?
My favorite thing to do is open a card with a higher than usual minimum spend that I wouldn’t normally be able to hit. It’s so nice to receive a nearly free trip in return.
