This is 100% the card I recommend you begin with if you're new here. In fact, if you've had this card for 48 months, I'd recommend you downgrade it to a no annual fee card and apply again!! It earns great rewards and has my FAVORITE travel partners
Amber's Thoughts:
Card #2 to open to earn the Southwest Companion Pass! If you'd like to know more about the Southwest Companion Pass, click here (https://amberonpoints.com/southwest). Remember, do not hit the minimum spend until after January 1st!
Amber's Thoughts:
This card has a larger minimum spend but the rewards are huge. We opened this card when we were buying a new couch. That combined with normal spending allowed us to earn a HUGE chunk of points which we eventally transfered to Hyatt (our favorite transfer partner).

Card #1 to open to earn the Southwest Companion Pass! This is my favorite personal Southwest Card because it has the lowest annual fee! If you'd like to know more about the Southwest Companion Pass, click here (https://amberonpoints.com/southwest). Remember, do not hit the minimum spend until after January 1st!
Amber's Thoughts:
Another card that could help you earn the Southwest Companion Pass, if you were lucky enough to catch the an elevated offer on a personal card! If you'd like to know more about the Southwest Companion Pass, click here (https://amberonpoints.com/southwest). Remember, do not hit the minimum spend until after January 1st!
Amber's Thoughts:
It looks like a Cash Back Card! It IS a Cash Back card, UNLESS you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card. If you do, you can "combine your points" in your Chase account and use those rewards to transfer to travel partners!!! Game Changer!
Amber's Thoughts:
The best thing about this card is that it provides instant status at HIlton hotels -- and that means FREE BREAKFAST. Also, don't forget that when you book Hilton hotels on points, your 5th concecutive night is free.

Another Great Starter Card! This card earns 2x points on all purchases. It also has great airline travel partners! We have transfered points to Flying Blue (AirFrance/KLM) for multiple trips to Europe!
Amber's Thoughts:
I 100% keep this card for lounge access. In fact, this is the ONLY card that I have added my husband as an authorized user. Each cardholder is allowed to bring 2 additional guests in airport lounges. This one card gets my entire family into airport lounges (which often have free food, drinks, wifi, and clean toilets. It's the little things, people).
Amber's Thoughts:
I don't have bougie Hyatt status, but I'm still more than happy paying an annual fee on this card. This card comes with an annual free night certificate and automatic Discoverist Status. If you are going for Globalist Status - I'd say that this card is a must.
Amber's Thoughts:
AMEX points are extremely valuable because of their travel partners. The kicker is that you have to work a bit to make the annual fee worth it. Recently updated to an annual fee of $695, It comes with up $200 airline fee credits, up to $200 annual hotel credits, up to $199 CLEAR® Plus, up to $300 Equinox Credit, monthly digital entertainment credits, lounge access, and a handful of other premium perks.
Amber's Thoughts:
The American Express® Gold Card is widely known as having some of the best spending category bonuses of any card on the market. Pair this with Rakuten for MR points instead of cash back!
Amber's Thoughts:
The Business Platinum Card by American Express has a high annual fee but tons of perks - so let's hope your business will pay for your annual fee. Lounge access, $200 annual airline incidental credit, and more. Once again, you do not need to own a “traditional business” to qualify for one.
Amber's Thoughts:
Whether you're advanced and already have all of these cards or you just want to see what else is out there. These are cards that I find value in. Some I keep and pay an annual fee on, but most come and go (meaning, I'll have them for a year or two and cancel them).
My Thoughts: I love pairing this with Rakuten for MR points instead of cash back! The real benefit of the American Express® Business Gold Card is the ability to earn 4x points on the spend categories where your business spends the most each month. Overall this is an excellent long term card for business owners.
Amber's Thoughts:
A great option with 2x earning rate on all purchases up to $50,000 annually (1x thereafter). This is a GREAT option if you want access to earn MR points through Rakuten without an annual fee.
Amber's Thoughts:
If you have a home rennovation or some HUGE expense coming up, this is for you!! It comes with a high minimum spend, meaning this card will mostly target established business owners. This card boasts many of the perks of the Capital One Venture X Rewards credit card so I probably wouldn't simultaniously hold both.
Amber's Thoughts:
The Freedom Unlimited is a fantastic cash back card with excellent spending categories and no annual fee. Ideally you pair this with a Chase Sapphire card so your points can be used for higher value travel redemptions.
Amber's Thoughts:
The annual free night certificate makes this a keeper card for us. In fact, Devin and I both typically have this card because the free night certificate more than covers the cost of the annual fee. Keep in mind that you are not eligible to receive this bonus if you have received a bonus on another Marriott Bonvoy branded credit card in the last 24 months. We have both received this welcome offer multiple times!
