Chase Sapphire Preferred® This card earns Chase Ultimate Rewards® points which are my absolute favorite points to redeem. Chase Ultimate Rewards® points can be transferred to travel partners (Hyatt, Southwest, Marriott, IHG, and MANY more) making them the most flexible of all the points out there.

For that alone, I’d open this card -- but to go a bit deeper, Chase has 2 NO ANNUAL FEE business cards (and a few personal cards) that are advertised as Cash Back cards. You can also transfer those rewards over to the Chase Sapphire Preferred for Chase Ultimate Rewards® points which can be transferred to travel partners! 

You can earn this welcome offer every 48 months. My husband and I take turns holding on to this card.

Chase Ink Business Cash® Credit Card This is one of those magical cash back cards which is advertised as a Cash Back card BUTTTT if you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred (or Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card) you can transfer the points to your Chase Ultimate Rewards® account and utilize to transfer to Chase’s travel Partners!

To make this even sweeter - this card earns 5x cash back at office supply stores.

Chase Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card Much like the Chase Ink Business Cash® Credit Card , this card is advertised as a Cash Back card BUTTTT if you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card (or Chase Ink Business Preferred) you can transfer the points to your Chase Ultimate Rewards® account and utilize to transfer to Chase’s travel Partners!

This card gives you 1.5 points per $1 spent on ALL purchases. 

Amber's Thoughts on the Chase Business Ink Unlimited® Credit card:

Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card (there are 3 personal Southwest cards - but this one has the lowest annual fee, therefore...it’s my favorite) I highly recommend opening a card that gives you points that you can use at your favorite airport. The Southwest Companion Pass is hands down, the most important travel strategy for my family -- but if you don’t live in a place Southwest flies, you may choose to go with an American, United, or other branded card.

The reason why Southwest is so crucial to our strategy, is because with the Southwest Companion Pass, anywhere I fly, I can bring along a companion for only the cost of their taxes and fees. Check out my FREE Southwest Companion Pass guide here for allll the details. 

Amber's Thoughts on the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card:

Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card - This is a premium card with HUGE perks - $300 travel credit, use this card to pay for Global Entry/TSA Precheck and be reimbursed $100 every 4 years, Priority Pass access to airport lounges, and more!

It has great international travel partners, and uniquely you can reimburse yourself for travel spent on this card - think Airbnbs, rental cars, and Disney tickets (IF booked through a travel agent).
